I was expecting something that tasted more like onion soup, like Trader Joe's version. This is more like an aioli or mayonnaise, without much discernible flavor. I do have some Better Than Bouillon caramelized onion which I can add. It is heavily salted, so you cannot go overboard. Otherwise, I might use it for potato or egg salads in place of mayo. There are plenty of things you can add as you go, like caramelized onion, catsup, pickle relish, etc. I won't be buying again.
