Rich, creamy, and addictively dippable, this caramelized onion dip deserves a spot on your next party’s menu. It’s extremely easy to throw together thanks to our sweet and tangy Balsamic Onion Jam. No need to stand over your stove for half an hour caramelizing onions because this dip is an easy mix and bake. You can even assemble it in advance, pop the dish in the fridge, and then pull it out to bake once your guests arrive. Just be sure to serve it with lots of sturdy crackers or crostini.

Ingredients
-
One 11-ounce jar Terrapin Ridge Farms Balsamic Onion Jam
One 8-ounce block cream cheese, at room temperature
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Gruyere cheese
½ cup sour cream
1 Tablespoon fresh thyme leaves, plus more for garnish (optional)
4 slices cooked bacon, finely chopped (¼ cup)
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Crostini, crackers, and/or crudités, for serving
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine the jam with the cream cheese, gruyere, sour cream, thyme, half of the bacon, and a couple cracks of black pepper.
Scrape the dip into a 1-quart baking dish or small cast iron skillet. Sprinkle the remaining bacon over the top and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the dip is beginning to brown on top and bubbling around the edges. Garnish with more thyme, if desired. Serve right away with your dippers of choice.
